ExpatInsure Refer-a-Friend Program

Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 18th August 2026

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions (this “Agreement”) govern participation in the ExpatInsure Refer-a-Friend Program (the “Program”), operated by ExpatInsure (“ExpatInsure,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By submitting a referral, accepting a referral reward, or otherwise participating in the Program, the individual submitting the referral (the “Referrer”) agrees to be bound by this Agreement. If the Referrer does not agree to these terms, the Referrer must not participate in the Program.

ExpatInsure may amend, suspend, or terminate the Program, or any part of it, at any time as set out in Section 9 (Amendment, Suspension, and Termination).

2. Definitions

1.     “Referrer” means an existing ExpatInsure customer, or other individual authorized by ExpatInsure to participate, who submits a Referral under this Agreement.

2.     “Referred Customer” means the individual identified by a Referrer as a prospective ExpatInsure customer under this Agreement.

3.     “Referral” means the act of a Referrer identifying a prospective customer to ExpatInsure in accordance with Section 4 (Referral Process).

4.     “Eligible Policy” means an insurance policy placed through ExpatInsure that ExpatInsure designates, in its sole discretion, as eligible for the Program from time to time.

5.     “Reward” means the incentive issued to a Referrer for a Successful Referral, as described in Section 5 (Reward Mechanics).

6.     “Successful Referral” means a Referral that satisfies all eligibility requirements in Section 3 (Eligibility) and all conditions in Section 4 (Referral Process).

3. Eligibility

A Referral qualifies for a Reward only if all of the following conditions are met:

•       The Referred Customer is a new customer of ExpatInsure and has not previously held, applied for, or received a quote for a policy through ExpatInsure prior to the date of the Referral;

•       The Referred Customer purchases an Eligible Policy through ExpatInsure;

•       The Referral is identified at the time of the Referred Customer’s initial enquiry by the Referred Customer naming the Referrer to ExpatInsure; and

•       The Referrer and the Referred Customer each comply with this Agreement and any applicable ExpatInsure customer terms.

ExpatInsure reserves the right to determine, in its sole and reasonable discretion, whether a Referral and a Referred Customer satisfy these eligibility requirements.

4. Referral Process

1.     To submit a Referral, the Referrer must ensure that the Referred Customer identifies the Referrer by name at the time the Referred Customer first contacts ExpatInsure to make an enquiry.

2.     Referrals that are not identified at the time of initial enquiry, or that are attributed to a Referrer after the initial enquiry has been made, will not be treated as a Successful Referral and will not qualify for a Reward.

3.     ExpatInsure may request reasonable additional information from the Referrer or the Referred Customer to verify a Referral.

5. Reward Mechanics

1.     A Reward will be issued only once the Referred Customer’s Eligible Policy is active (in force) and ExpatInsure has received the first premium payment in respect of that policy.

2.     Only one Reward will be issued per Successful Referral, regardless of the number of policies subsequently purchased by the same Referred Customer.

3.     The form, amount, and method of delivery of the Reward will be as specified in the then-current Program promotional materials made available by ExpatInsure. ExpatInsure may change the Reward offered under the Program on a prospective basis.

4.     Rewards are not transferable, are not redeemable for cash except where ExpatInsure states otherwise, and have no value except as expressly provided under this Agreement.

5.     The Referrer is solely responsible for any tax liability arising from receipt of a Reward. ExpatInsure may report Reward payments to tax authorities where required by applicable law.

6. Fraud, Abuse, and Ineligible Conduct

ExpatInsure may withhold, reverse, or reclaim a Reward, and may suspend or terminate a Referrer’s participation in the Program, if ExpatInsure reasonably determines that:

•       The Referral was fraudulent, falsified, or submitted in bad faith;

•       The Referrer or Referred Customer is the same person, or the Referred Customer is a member of the Referrer’s immediate household or an existing ExpatInsure customer;

•       The Referral was generated through spam, unsolicited bulk communications, misleading advertising, or any method that violates applicable law or ExpatInsure’s policies; or

•       The underlying Eligible Policy is later cancelled, rescinded, found to have been obtained on the basis of false information, or the first premium payment is reversed.

7. No Guarantee of Insurance Outcome

Participation in the Program does not guarantee that a Referred Customer will be offered coverage, that any particular premium or policy terms will be available, or that an application will be approved. All insurance placements remain subject to underwriting, applicable law, and the terms of the relevant insurance carrier.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ExpatInsure’s total liability to a Referrer arising out of or in connection with the Program, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the value of the Reward in dispute. ExpatInsure will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Program.

9. Amendment, Suspension, and Termination

ExpatInsure may amend this Agreement, or suspend or terminate the Program in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, including for regulatory or business reasons, with or without notice. Amendments take effect when posted or otherwise communicated by ExpatInsure. Referrals submitted before an amendment, suspension, or termination remain subject to the terms in effect at the time of submission, except where a change is required by law.

10. Compliance with Law

The Program is void where prohibited by law. ExpatInsure will administer the Program, including the eligibility of Referred Customers and the issuance of Rewards, in a manner consistent with applicable insurance regulatory requirements, including any restrictions on inducements connected to the sale of insurance products in the relevant jurisdiction.

11. Data Protection

Personal information collected in connection with a Referral, including the names of the Referrer and Referred Customer, will be processed by ExpatInsure in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at https://www.expatinsure.com/privacy-policy/. By submitting a Referral, the Referrer confirms that the Referred Customer has consented to being contacted by ExpatInsure for the purpose of following up on the Referral.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Program will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, and each party submits to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

13. General Provisions

1.     Entire Agreement: This Agreement, together with any Program materials referenced herein, constitutes the entire agreement between the Referrer and ExpatInsure with respect to the Program and supersedes all prior understandings relating to it.

2.     Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

3.     No Waiver: ExpatInsure’s failure to enforce any provision of this Agreement is not a waiver of its right to do so later.

4.     Assignment: A Referrer may not assign or transfer any rights or Rewards under this Agreement without ExpatInsure’s prior written consent.

5.     Contact: Questions about the Program or this Agreement may be directed to sales@expatinsure.com.
